In Hawai‘i, suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15 to 24 year olds. This PSA, commissioned by the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo's Student Health and Wellness Programs, aims to encourage help-seeking behaviors among young, local males.
Funded in part by the American College Health Association.
College students experience dating violence at staggering rates and face unique obstacles in accessing services to escape an abusive relationship. Men of Strength (MOS), a campus organization at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo Student Health and Wellness Programs, is dedicated to ending violence on campus and in the community, especially violence toward girls and women. This collaboration between Lumos Media and UHH will conceive and develop an educational short film that addresses dating violence.
